The Player Pool runs on both sides at once — a free agent builds a profile, you tell the league what your team needs, and the board puts the two together. This is the whole process, end to end.

What a free agent does
Anyone in the league looking for a team to join.

Log in to the Player Pool
Anyone can browse the teams that are recruiting. Logging in is what unlocks building a profile and messaging you.

Fill in the Player Pool profile
Up to three positions, preferred foot, skill level, what they're looking for, how much they can commit, and a short note about their experience.

Switch I'm currently looking for a team on
This is the step everyone misses. Saving the form does not make anyone visible — the switch does.

Open Teams matching my profile
Once they're live, the board narrows to teams recruiting their positions or skill level instead of every team in the league.

Message a team
Their note goes to that team's captains. Yours is one of them.

Switch back off once they've signed
Keeps them out of everyone else's pool. Their answers stay saved for next season.

Say what you're recruiting for
The positions you need, the experience level you're after, the commitment you expect, and a note to players. This is exactly what they'll read on your card.

As a card in the league's Player Pool, showing your badge, division, record and what you're looking for. No campaign means no card.

Browse the pool and invite players
Filter the full player pool by position and skill in your Ateamo account, then send invites directly.

Reply to the players who message you
Rosters get built fast. A quick answer — even a no — is what keeps players in the league.
A match is an overlap, not an algorithm
A team lands in a player's Teams matching my profile list when what you said you need lines up with what they said they play. The more specific you both are, the shorter and more useful that list gets.
What captains ask us
A player told me they signed up, but I can't find them.
Their profile is saved but switched off. Ask them to open the Player Pool, go to Teams matching my profile, open their profile, and turn on I'm currently looking for a team.
Why isn't my team showing on the board?
The board only lists teams with an active recruitment campaign. Open your team's recruitment page in Ateamo and set out what you're looking for.
Can players see my team before they've made a profile?
Yes. Anyone can browse every recruiting team, logged in or not. The profile is what's needed to get matched and to message you.
Why does a player's list look shorter than the full board?
They're on Teams matching my profile rather than All Teams. That tab filters to teams recruiting their positions or skill level.
Filling in the profile isn't enough — the switch has to be on.
It's the single most common reason a keen player never hears from a captain. Warning triangle means hidden. Checkmark means live.
